Trainer:

Chyla Young , a registered Dramatherapist currently working with children and young adults across Gloucestershire providing individual and group Dramatherapy in schools, colleges and day centres. Primarily her specialism is working with clients that have learning and physical disabilities but she also has experience of working with complex disorders in inpatient mental health settings. Alongside her therapy work Chyla is a Drama Tutor and as facilitated many workshops for children and adults in education and community organisations .

Workshop Aim:

To develop an understanding of how role can be used in a therapeutic context.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • To understand the importance and power of role
  • Explore the safety implications of using role with clients
  • Engage in a range of experiential activities relating to role and story
  • Creatively explore approaches to role theory in practice

Learning Style:

Participants can expect the session to encompass a variety of learning methods such as theoretical tutor input, experiential exercises and group discussions.

Time:

Tea/coffee/registration at 9.30am for a 10.00am start and finish at 2.00pm. All drinks will be provided during the day but please bring own lunch.
